The Show
1st Hour
Library is still the word here on The Monday Morning After as we talk with Danielle Chagnon, Directrice de la référence et du prêt at the Grande Bibliothèque. Then it’s my conversation with local artist Adriana Coluccio, who has her first show up now at the Maison culturelle et communautaire de Montréal-Nord.

Here are some resources for artists that are worth checking out:
YES Montréal
ELAN – English Language Arts Network
Quebec Drama Federation
ArtFox
Quebec Writers’ Federation

Plus we welcome Stefan Christoff in studio to talk about the album Duets for Abdelrazik, which aims to express musical solidarity for the ongoing struggle of Abousfian Abdelrazik, the Sudanese-Canadian jailed on the recommendation of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) in Sudan. We talk about the album, on which Christoff plays piano alongside New York and Montreal musicians, and Abdelrazik’s story. A panel discussion presented by the Howl Arts Collective and CKUT is tonight at Kaza Maza, 4629 Avenue du Parc at 6pm, reflecting on the significance of Abdelrazik’s struggle for justice.

And the lovely Jen Bieber joins us in studio to share some events coming up this week.

2nd Hour
The headlines from Democracy Now! and The Bike Lane with Cam Novak. Also be sure to check out Cam’s first column in CultMTL about the 5 most dangerous intersections for cyclists. Be part of the conversation!

You can reach us at monday@ckut.ca or call into studio between 7am and 9am at 514 448 4013.
