A Special Message from The City Street, fronted by #1 FMA Donor, Matt Leddy:

Hi Josh and co., Matt here.  We have two full length LP’s coming out this spring titled “Winter Lightning” and “Sawdust & Rum”.

We are now releasing a video for the song “For All The (Doomed) Lovers” (feat. Colin Stetson) which is off of Winter Lightning.  The video was filmed in our rehearsal space in Franktown Studios by Justin Lachance. http://youtu.be/g5N_UNAov5M

The second song ‘Sawdust & Rum’ is the title track from our other upcoming album ‘Sawdust & Rum’ and can be streamed and downloaded from Soundcloud here: http://soundcloud.com/thecitystreets/sawdust-rum

Winter Lightning was recorded here in Montreal at the Hotel2Tango with Howard Bilerman (Arcade Fire, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Wolf Parade).  For ‘Sawdust & Rum’ we traveled to Nova Scotia to self record the album in a cabin on the ocean.  The album was inspired by the recent passing of Rick’s grandfather.

On our 2011 tour for our EP titled Peacemaker we stopped in at the Daytrotter Studios in Rock Island, IL to record a session.   Here’s where you can check it out: http://www.daytrotter.com/#!/concert/the-city-streets/20054919-3738474

We will be touring Western/Eastern Canada, Northern USA, and the Eastern USA in support of these records in spring/summer.  Both albums are slated for release this spring, check our website for pre-sale and the official release date, coming soon.

Right on.

Matt
