Synapse announces its second reading of the academic year, featuring Michael Chaulk, Colin Fulton, Celyn Harding-Jones, and special guest readers Linda Besner and Sheila Heti.

The reading will be held at the VAV Gallery (corner of Rene-Levesque and Crescent) on Wednesday, November 16th. Doors at 7. Reading at 7:30. Admission is free. Chapbooks will be available.

Freedom Waves to Gaza ships were captured last Friday. Footage of the
Israeli Defense Force hijacked the Canadian ship the Tahrir and the Irish
ship, the Saoirse was released on youtbe. The ships were carrying medical
supplies and are using this direct action tactic to disrupt the blockade.
Ehab Lotayef, montreal poet, was one of the last to be released from
Israeli prison and arrived home to Montreal Thursday night on a via rail
train. We hear from him at a press conference he gave upon arrival.
