In-Studio Interview: Rick Reid of The City Streets

  • The City Streets are Rick Reid, Matt Leddy and Mark Chmilar.
  • Originally from Edmonton, they relocated to Montreal in late 2009.
  • They have released three full length albums,
    • ‘These Things Happen’,
    • ‘Concentrated Living’,
    • ‘The Jazz Age’,
    • and an EP called ‘If you don’t like the Clash you’re a bad person’.
  • Rick and Matt are going to Haiti in November to work with an organization called All Hands Volunteers and will be involved in a reconstruction project called Project Leogane
  • Project Leogane (http://hands.org/projects/project-leogane/) is assisting in the recovery process caused by the earthquake in January 2010.
  • They need a some dough to fund their efforts, which you can contribute by going to their website at http://www.citystreetsband.com/ and either buying some swag or making a direct donation.

    Josh should take some time to learn more about how organizations keep secrets. There are well developed and time tested systems at work out there.
