Sabrina’s secret stash on 500 days of summer ( still lovin’ the classic track from the smiths)

Playlist Extraordinaire:

Sabrina’s Secret Stash on the (500) Days of Summer soundtrack, packed with musical nostalgic goodness!!! I highly recommend the soundtrack and the film, starring the fantastic Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel.  The soundtrack includes two great tracks by The Smiths and a cover by She & Him, Regina Spektor, Hall & Oates, The Doves and much more..

We played:  “Us,” by Regina Spektor, “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out,” by The Smiths, “Here Comes Your Man,”  (Pixies cover) by Meaghan Smith, “Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want,” by She & Him, and “Sweet Disposition,” by The Temper Trap

To help promote the film, Gordon-Levitt and Deschanel starred in the debut episode of Microsoft Zune and Mean Magazine‘s “Cinemash” series. In the episode, they “mash” the characters from the film Sid and Nancy with story elements from (500) Days of Summer.

Marc Webb created a music video as a companion piece to the film, titled “The Bank Heist”. It features Deschanel and Gordon-Levitt dancing to “Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?”, a song by Deschanel’s folk group She & Him.
