So get out to the Verdun or Frontenac market on Saturday or the Plateau market on Sunday and pick yourself up some fresh vegetables. Here are some ideas for what to do with them:

Oven-dried tomatoes (you can do the same kind of thing with herbs)

Not-Canned Pickled Chili Peppers

Freeze herbs, fruit and make pies and casseroles (if you like casseroles…), and then freeze those too! Use heavy-duty aluminum foil and ziploc bags to prevent freezer burn.
