The Show: First Hour

My interview with local book artist Kate Battle. We spoke about book arts and the work she does teaching bookbinding to elementary school kids in Quebec.

Jen Bieber welcomes a guest in-studio to talk about the upcoming March and Vigil for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. The Montreal March & Vigil is put on by Missing Justice and the 2110 Centre for Gender Advocacy and takes place this Thursday, October 4th at 6pm at Place Émilie-Gamelin. We got Margo and her monthly weather segment, too.

And Jeff Gandell is in studio to talk about his brand new storytelling/stand-up event Yarn starting up this Wednesday at Le Cagibi at 8pm.

The Second Hour
The headlines from Democracy Now! and Farid speaks with musical guest Ohara Hale about her ADISQ nomination for the video Je te mange. Plus a few songs, of course.

Then it’s the Kalmunity Vibe Collective in-studio to talk about the all-new music series, The Kitchen, coming up this Saturday, October 6th at Le Belmont, 4483 St Laurent. $10, featuring: Ian Kamau, Sam I Am and the Kalmunity Vibe Collective.

And I know you miss Cam Novak as much as I do, so to tide you over until next week, check out his latest column for CultMTL about what to do if you’re in an accident on your bike.
